Corporate Coaching

Quote

The corporate and business environments place a range of demands and expectations on their leaders - the entrepreneur, the executive, and the manager. There is an ever-increasing push to adapt to change and to get to grips with the challenges of complexity within organisations. There is also the pressing need to engage in systemic thinking, the idea that businesses fundamentally operate and depend on inter-relatedness.

Rather than seeing organisations as objective, transparent and entirely predictable and controllable in all respects, a more realistic approach is to recognise and work authentically with the core phenomena of organisational dynamics, namely, uncertainty, building and maintaining open and trusting relationships, and a willingness to engage in continuous, creative self-reorganisation. Organisational life requires us to be adaptable and amenable to change, and to embrace our own transformations, so that our actions and behaviours are in step with the changes in the environment in which we engage with others.

Coaching for change is to move from one position to another, with potential being fulfilled/ realised. Coaching for transformation, however, is to move from one way of being to another, and with potential being continually expressed in completing one project and beginning another.

Our Existential coaching approach addresses the human element in organisational processes, through:

  • Language and Communication
  • Meaningfulness and Motivation
  • Patterns and Tensions

Performance improvement rests significantly on the conversational agreements made between individuals, both in terms of making and also keeping to commitments made between all parties. Such conversations coordinate actions, since it is through language that actions occur, and the role of managers is to coordinate these coordinations of action.

We also possess a human need to generate meaning in all our actions and endeavours, which comes from our desire to overcome that unavoidable aspect of being human - uncertainty. Meaningful engagement with goals and direction brings a mood of positive purpose and significance, of belonging, and motivation to contribute to the organisational process.

Having predictable patterns and structures in our work is a positive, supportive way of ensuring that we must act with a sense of commitment, since our actions are driven by our values and beliefs. However, whilst our values can provide us with a firm ground and reassurance from which to act, they can also sediment or constrict us, denying us a more flexible and adaptable attitude to other possible actions.

Our corporate coaching supports individuals to:

  • Raise self-awareness and understanding
  • Improve and develop working relationships with others
  • Develop and widen their perspectives on problems and issues
  • Generate and opt for more powerful choices available to them
  • Deepen and strengthen leadership styles
  • Broaden effective managerial approaches

We deliver extraordinary results to our clients, both from an economic and personal perspective. Our coaching approach addresses pressing, immediate issues and concerns as well as anticipated challenges in the future.
